Robyn Rihanna Fenty, whom we’ve all come to know and love as “Rihanna”, has been named Harvard University’s 2017 Humanitarian of the Year.

The singer is set to accept the award on February 28th for her notable work within her nonprofit, the Clara Lionel Foundation Scholarship Program (2012), which has helped to provide educational access to children in over 60 developing countries (with priority given to girls).

Further, Rihanna has built a state-of-the-art oncology and nuclear medicine center at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados to help diagnose and treat breast cancer.

She has sold more than 200 million records, and was recently recognized for having the third most Top Tens on the charts of all time.
