HBO’s hit series Insecure creator, Issa Rae, is rolling up her sleeves and pitching yet another show. This time, she wishes to create a series that focuses on black teenaged characters, primarily to fill the gap where some of our old childhood favorites (i.e., Moesha, which went off air in 2001) have left off.

In a video that has been heavily circulating on social media, Issa states:

“I would like to pitch you a new show about black teenagers. Think 90210 or Gossip Girls for black kids. Maybe we call it Ladera Heights 90041. It could be Potomac Maryland 20854. That’s the real s**t. I don’t think since, I would say, like, Moesha, have we followed the lives of black teens.”

This definitely needs to happen! And once it does, it is sure to be epic!
