Grammy Award-Winning artist and actress, Mary J. Blige, will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame under the recording category. Born in Yonkers, New York, Blige got her start in music in 1989, when she was just 18-years-old, as Uptown Record’s first and youngest female artist. Her first album, What’s the 411? debuted in 1992, and was followed up by 12 more albums, 31 Grammy nominations and 12 Grammy Award wins.

On top of her excellent musical body of work, she has also been recognized for her talent on the big screen, with several nominations under her belt for Golden Globe, SAG, and Critic’s Choice. Check out her receipts here.

The ceremony will be held on January 11th at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard. Her star will be unveiled by Sean “Diddy” Combs (who executive-produced her first album), alongside Hollywood Chamber President, Leron Gubler.
