H&M Under Fire For Ad Featuring Black Child Wearing ‘Coolest Monkey’ Hoodie

Another day, another brand under fire for releasing a racially-insensitive advertisement.

One would think that such top retailers would have learned to do better following numerous public relations disasters stemming from similar advertising with some of their counterparts. And it still begs the question, yet again, of who is sitting at these marketing tables.

Who approved this?!



And quite frankly, the half-hearted apologies and excuses are getting tired. Here is the lamest of apologies offered by the retail brand:

“This image has now been removed from all H&M channels and we apologize to anyone this may have offended.”

Excuse us…”may have offended“? There is literally no reason why this should still be happening.
